Tuning

To maintain the longevity of your instrument, your piano should be tuned 1-2 times per year. Tuning involves adjusting the pitch of your piano’s strings and typically takes between 90 minutes and 2 hours. Routine tuning allows your technician to make maintenance recommendations to keep your piano playing beautifully for years to come.

Regulation

Regulating a piano involves adjusting its touch, or how the keys feel and respond to your playing. Regulation helps ensure that the many moving parts inside your piano are well-aligned and operating smoothly. The frequency of this service will depend on your instrument’s age, how often it is played, and where your piano is stored.

Repair

There are thousands of moving parts inside your piano. Even with routine maintenance, some of those parts will likely need more specialized attention over the span of your instrument’s life. I will work with you to identify potential repairs to enhance the playability and sound of your piano.
